Evaluation Method of Nano-Carbon Fiber Grounding Grid Considering Short Circuit Current Distribution

Aiming at the difference of electrical specification and heat stability between nonmetal and metal grounding materials, an appraisal procedure is proposed for the performance of nano-carbon fiber grounding grid. A detailed evaluation process is presented for the security evaluation of nano-carbon fiber grounding grid, considering to equivalent sectional area of conductor, short-circuit current and its influence to calculate for Grounding parameters, rise and distribution of grounding potential and so on.The diffuser performance of nano-carbon fiber and common metal grounding grid is analyzed by contact potential, step potential difference and grounding potential rise. The results show that nano-carbon fiber can be applied to grounding grid of tower. The method in this paper is referred to assess the safety of nonmetal grounding materials.
