Special traits of the heat-treatment regime of the low-alloy steel 26G2STA

1990
1. The decomposition of supercooled austenite in steel 26G2STA is of a complex nature, with a distinct zone of its stability in the temperature range 500–550°C. 2. The optimal heat-treatment regime of steel 26G2STA, satisfying the demands on chains of elevated and special category of strength, is the following: normalization from 930°C, hardening from Ac3 (830°C), and high tempering at 590–610°C, cooling in water.
