Oxidation of Isomaltose by Pseudomonas taetrolens

Abstract Pseudomonas taetrolens NRRL B14 oxidized isomaltose without hydrolysis of the 1–6 glycosidic linkage. The resulting isomaltobionic acid was identified by chromatographic studies of acid hydrolysates and reconversion to isomaltose.
