Dilated Cardiomyopathy: A Consequence of Defective Suppressor Cell Function?

1984
The complexity and intricacy of the immune system is becoming increasingly evident as basic research continues to provide more and more information about cellular functions and interactions. As one might expect, one of the most important features of the immune system is its regulation. The powerful mechanisms of the immune response are governed by a system that includes both suppressor and helper functions, with T-lymphocytes playing a chief role (Gershon 1974; Dutton 1975).
