Acute myocardial infarction in a patient of infective endocarditis

2015
Infective endocarditis (IE) is associated with a number of complications. Peripheral systemic embolism is a common and serious complication of infective endocarditis linked to migration of vegetation. Here we present a case of a 9 year old girl admitted with left hemiplegia due to right MCA thromboemobolism due to naive aortic valve IE and ultimately expired due to an acute coronary syndrome (ACS) due to possible coronary embolism.
