Reclaiming lactose in dairy wastewater by nanofiltration process

Aiming at reclaiming the lactose in dairy wastewater and reusing the wastewater,the process for recovery of lactose in dairy wastewater by nanofiltration method was studied.The effects of operation pressure,feeding flow rate and concentration ratio on the recovery rate and the removal rate of COD were discussed.The experimental results show that the optimum operation pressure is 1.0 MPa,the feeding flow rate is 28 L/min.Under the optimum conditions,the recovery of lactose in dairy wastewater is 100%.Each water-quality index of dairy wastewater treated with nanofiltration membrane can come up to the water quality standard for industrial use.
