Assistance for the Sexually Active Female

The sexually active female no longer is only in the 20 and over age range but is among the lf-, 16-, and 17-year-olds. This creates an even greater need for the dissemination of sex information and contraception and abortion counseling. This sexually active female, due to her high level of impressionability, places a greater demand on the counselor to be nonjudgmental and to establish an effective relationship with the patient. While many young girls may be physically ready for sexual relations, they are not always emotionally ready.
