Driving Sub-Task Analysis in High Altitude Environment

2019
To study the influence of altitude change on drivers of the plains and of the plateau, we tested the driver's blood oxygen saturation and sub-task at seven different altitudes. We analysed the effects of altitude on blood oxygen saturation and the relationship between blood oxygen and peripheral detection task. Compared with drivers in plateau area, drivers in plain area are more significantly affected by altitude; When the altitude rises to 5000m, the oxygen saturation of drivers in the plains drops to 75%, while that of drivers in the plateau always stays above 80%; The reaction time of drivers in plains and plateau areas was between 300ms~900ms and 400ms~700ms respectively; The reaction time of drivers in the plains was negatively correlated with oxygen saturation, and the dispersion of reaction time with lower oxygen saturation was greater.
