Strategic Concepts for Developing Higher Education in the Western Regions

With the constant deepening of the political and economic reforms in China, the central government puts forward the strategy of implementing “the Grand Development of the Western Regions”. The higher education, especially that of the western regions, is faced with the unprecedented opportunities and challenges. Without the balanced development of the colleges and universities in the western regions, the West Development could hardly succeed because of the shortage of intelligence and talent resources.
