Shear system for a dry shaver with a long hair cutter

The invention relates to a shearing system for a dry shaver, consisting of at least one long hair cutter (10) arranged between the shearing units intended for cutting short hairs, wherein the shearing units for cutting short hairs consist of a top and a bottom blade (2, 3) that are moved relative to one another by a drive mechanism. The long hair cutter is formed by at least two cutting elements (12, 13, 14) which can be moved relative to one another and are arranged next to one another. In order to provide optimum skin protection and cutting quality, the cutting elements (12, 13, 14) of the long hair cutter are configured in the shape of a comb. The rows of cutting teeth (20, 34) formed by teeth are aligned substantially perpendicular and pointing to the skin that is to be shaved.
