Full-thickness rectal prolapse (RP) is a circumferential descent of the rectal wall which commonly affects elderly female patients. However, in certain countries such as Egypt, it affects middle-aged male with the causative factors less clearly understood. Schistosomiasis, occult childhood prolapse, or connective tissue disorders have been suggested as causative factors. (1) (2) (3).
