The reliability and representativeness of climatic data play a fundamental role in the assessment of building energy performance. Most widely used calculation tools make use of Typical Meteorological Years (TMYs), which can be used for several applications, such as the design or verification of energy performance of buildings, and the rating of technical systems. The goal of this work is to verify the representativeness of the ISO 15927-4 methodology for TMY generation with the aim of assessing the annual energy needs for single and aggregated energy services. To this purpose, different climate variables were processed and correlated with each other, with different weighting coefficients.
