2010
Accredited testing laboratories are economic entities that operate on the principle of profit and it is from a great importance for such laboratories to maintain and improve acquired confidence. Interlaboratory testing represents one of the main evidences of the competence of laboratory for performing certain testing. Interlaboratory testing can also serve as an instrument for checking the adoption of new methods in the laboratory, as well as rating the competence of staff, and for comparison of different testing instruments / methods. The level of compliance of results with reference results affect on reputation and confidence of laboratory by accreditation body, but primarily by the end users. In today's market competition a confidence can't be gained in no other way than by exactly demonstrated competence. For this purpose interlaboratory testing represents the right way to prove laboratory's own competence. Evaluation of interlaboratory testings results provides assessment of laboratory to perform specific types of testing, measurement and/or calibration, on which basis laboratory is doing corrective or protective measures. This paper describes the way of evaluation the results performed during interlaboratory study carried out on clay masonry units (bricks).
