The growth and properties of some KTP family crystals

ABSTRACT Crystal growth of KTiOPO4(KTP) family with flux method has besummarized. The results of defect observation with synchrotron radiation topography and other methods have been reported. It is shown that KTP crystal is of high-quality and there .exjst different kinds of defect such as growth striations, multiple domains in doped KTP and KTA crystals. The observationand discussion about the bicrystal of KTP family crystal have been mentioned in the paper. SHG and SF0 measurements indicated that KTP family crystals investigated have excellent nonlinear optical properties.Key words: Potassium titanyl Phosphate crystal, growth, characterization 1.
