La Colección de Embriones del Museo Veterinario de Madrid

espanolEn la comunicacion se difunde una de las Colecciones mas atrayentes de los fondos del Museo Veterinario Complutense. La coleccion de Embriologia cuenta con 57 ejemplares conservados en fluido. Se describen los sucesivos metodos de conservacion y las especies. Entre estas se encuentran ejemplares de roedores (conejo y cobaya), diversas especies de animales de produccion, suidos, bovidos, pequenos rumiantes, peces, aves (gallina y faisan), animales de compania (perro y gato) o silvestres (jabali). Incluye diferentes estadios sucesivos del desarrollo embrionario y fetos de algunas especies. La coleccion fue donada por la profesora del Departamento de Anatomia Maria Jose Blanquez Layunta en 2010 y concebida inicialmente para su uso docente en la carrera de Veterinaria. Se ha podido comprobar en las visitas recibidas el gran interes que suscita en el publico general y en especial en los grupos escolares confirmando la gran capacidad divulgativa de este tipo especifico de patrimonio biologico. EnglishOne of the most attractive collections in the Complutense Veterinary Museum's collection is published in the communication. The Embryology collection has 57 specimens preserved in fluid. The successive conservation methods and species are described. These include rodents (rabbit and guinea pig), various species of production animals, suidae, bovids, small ruminants, fish, birds (hen and pheasant), companion animals (dog and cat) or wild animals (wild boar). It includes different successive stages of embryonic development and foetuses of some species. The collection was donated by the professor of the Department of Anatomy Maria Jose Blanquez Layunta in 2010 and was initially conceived for teaching in the Veterinary career. It has been possible to verify in the visits received the great interest that it arouses in the general public and especially in the school groups confirming the great informative capacity of this specific type of biological heritage.
