The present invention discloses a simulated link legged walking mechanism and method, comprising a main shaft and a link mechanism; link mechanism connected by a crank shaft; linkage symmetrically to both sides of the body, each side of the link linkage means includes a front foot and rear foot link mechanism; comprises front and rear axles of the shaft; a crank axle end to rotate with the sub-constraint, the other end of the crank connected to the front foot and rear foot length shorter link rod, driven by the forefoot short link and long link rotatable hind; forefoot short link and long link to rotate the forefoot sub constraint; forefoot and the rear axle to rotate the long link pair constraint. The method comprises the steps of: cranking motion starts before the foot short drive link; sequentially moving rod so as to drive the other, such that the entire forward movement of the running gear. The present invention is of simple structure, a simple crank and connecting rod structure, to complete the walk characteristics of the link mechanism that can withstand great loads, ease of manufacture, cost of production and post-maintenance costs can save.
