Dynamic changes of immunocytes in local mucosa of chicks infected with Eimeria tenella

2010
Immunohistochemistry method was used to study the dynamic changes of immunocytes in local mucosa of chicks infected with Eimeria tenella. The results showed that the numbers of sIgA+ cells and CD4+T cells increased rapidly in the 2nd day and reached their peak on the 5th day after infection. While the number of CD8+T cells increased in the 4th day and reached their peak on the 7th day after infection. The results indicated that the organism of chicks could start the mucosal immune responses after E.tenella infection, and the immunocytes play a various role in different periods when resisted E.tenella infection.
