The adsorption of lead ion on the compost humic acid and its mechanism.

2009
The humic acid was obtained from compost, and its characteristics were determined. With the heavy metal lead as the research object, the effect of the adsorption of lead ion on the compost humic acid was studied together with its adsorption mechanism. The results show that the absorption of the lead ion on the compost humic acid is governed by the Langmiur adsorption isotherms, with 1/500 as the best solid -liquid ratio in the experiment. Fourier transform infrared detection of the compost humic acid adsorbed with lead ions shows that the lead ion was mainly coordinated with the carboxyl and phenolic hydroxyl group of humic acid.
