An electronic component comprising a ceramic element body made of ceramics and an outer electrode that is arranged on the element body of ceramic. The outer electrode comprises a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer formed on the first electrode layer. The first electrode layer is formed on an outer surface of the element body made of ceramics and contains Ag as well as a glass material. The second electrode layer contains Pt, and has a plurality of holes extending at corresponding positions to the first electrode layer.
