A grating lobes suppression technique for near-field sparse linear MIMO array imaging

2016
The multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar imaging systems have proven to be highly attractive for various near-field applications. The design of array structures as a key technique has great effects on image quality. Utilizing the equivalent array approach in the near-field leads to high grating lobes. A grating lobes suppression technique is proposed by separating grating lobes from main lobes. Both numerical simulation results and experimental results verify the potential of this technique.
