Ground state splitting and Zeeman effect in erbium ethylsulphate at 1.6°K

Abstract Transitions have been observed between the Zeeman split Stark components of the ground J -manifold in erbium ethylsulphate at 1.6°K. The transitions appear to be primarily magnetic dipole in character.
