Instantaneous Load Voltage Control for Three-phase to Single-phase Matrix Converter

2020
A small energy network consists of distributed powers and multiple consumers is called a microgrid. In recent years, as a countermeasure for the global warming, renewable energies such as wind- and solar-power have been attracting attention. However, the power variation of the renewable sources causes the line current and the terminal voltage fluctuation. Thus, the compensation system is needed to suppress the fluctuation. On the other hand, a transformer cannot active control the secondary voltage. Due to this, replacing it by three-phase to single-phase matrix converters, this paper proposed the method to instantaneously control the load voltage and suppress the fluctuation. From the numerical simulation, it can confirm improving the load voltage control performance.
