The invention discloses a method for retaining freshness of bananas at normal temperature. The method comprises the steps that disease fruits and damaged fruits in the harvested bananas are removed, residual floral organs are removed, and the fruits are completely washed; the fruits are soaked into a chlorine dioxide solution for sterilization and disinfection, and the fruits are taken out to be aired; the aired bananas and a preservative with the weight accounting for 0.5% to 0.7% of the bananas are bagged and sealed together, and the bananas can be stored at normal temperature. The preservative is prepared from potassium ferrate, activated clay, water-absorbent resin, calcium hydroxide and natrium aceticum. A normal-temperature energy-saving storage mode and environment-friendly chemical reagents such as solid chlorine dioxide and potassium ferrate are adopted, the storage life of the bananas at normal temperature is prolonged by at least four times or above, safety, energy saving and environmentally friendliness are achieved, and the method conforms to current related national policy orientation and world trends.
