Statistical analysis of the fine-scale time structure of PSR 1133+16
1983
Statistical analysis of the fine structure in the radio emission of PSR 1133+16 shows that the micropulse durations are not randomly distributed but display at least two characteristic time scales, one shorter than 250 ..mu..sec and the other between 250 ..mu..sec and roughly-equal1 msec. In more than half the pulses analyzed, the microstructure is quasiperiodic, with short (< 625 ..mu..sec) periods being distinguished from long (625--2500 ..mu..sec) periods. The microstructure time-scale and quasiperiod distributions are compared for subpulses belonging to the two separate components of the mean pulse profile.
