The invention discloses an automated electronic trip receipt system for taxi and a method thereof, which in particular automatically generates an electronic trip receipt for a passenger to use as required in combination with a car host processor and a central server. The central server comprises a dispatch server which transmits data related to dispatch, a communication server which is wirelesslycommunicated with the car device, a trip data server which records data related to taxi trip, and a trip data query server for the passenger to query a riding record. The car host processor is used for processing a module signal. The module comprises a global positioning system module, a wireless communication module, a boarding and alighting recording module, an axle counting module, an externalmileometer reading device and a card-swiping deduction and card number reading identification device.
