Comparison of Alpine and Nubian goats for some reproductive traits under dry tropical conditions

Abstract The objective of this study was to compare some reproductive traits of Alpine and Nubian goats under an intensive management system in a dry tropical environment. Goats were kept under confinement in half-covered pens and fed grass hay plus a commercial concentrate. Data were analyzed for kidding interval, prolificacy and gestation length.
