Development of RA series of asynchronous machines (power up to 100 kW) and their introduction at the Yaroslavsk electrical-machine plant

The development of the new asynchronous motors (AM) series is preceded by complex scientific research on the improvement of the design, the magnetic system, and the windings and the creation of new calculation procedures and research methods; the results of this work show that it is promising to develop AM designs adapted to manufacturing-plant technology and to ensure that all the models in the series fit within one or two basic geometry configurations, as in the USSR.
