Super oyster: The oyster that could save Tasmania's Industry

Tasmania's Pacific Oyster industry has gone through hell and back over the past 14 months. The Pacific Oyster Mortality Syndrome (POMS) wiped out two thirds of the $26 million industry. Scientists are providing some light at the end of this very bleak period, developing a super oyster that will hopefully withstand the next outbreak in Tasmania. Oyster farmers around the nation are holding their collective breath.
