THE APPLICATION OF EGG IN ACID-FAST STAIN EXPERIMENT TEACHING

[Objective] To screen an ideal acid-fast stain specimen that was not only saving experimental materials and expenses, and shortening preparation time, but also improving the experimental bio-security, and suitable for large scale operation in experiment teaching. [Methods] The tuberculosis sputum was substituted by BCG diluted by normal saline with white (7%) and yolk (3%) of egg for acid-fast stain. [Results] Staining of specimen showed stable and low background properties. It was quite helpful for observing. [Conclusion] The improved acid-fast stain specimen is fit for application in experiment teaching.It is worth promoting.
