Modeling Of Electroretinogram And Its Relation To Stimulus Light Intensity

Recently, the functional relation between the response amplitude of the electrotetinogram (ERG) versus intensity of the light stimulus has been found useful for the prediction of the need for eye surgery. The inherent subjectivity of deeg the ERG response amplitude can be removed by use of modeling which, moreover, allows characteridon of the ERG in tenns of a small set of parameters. An ERG model is introduced that can separate its A and B wave components. The relation between the ERG model parameters and stimulus light intensity. in tum. is also being modeled.
