NOMOGRAMS FOR THE CALCULATION OF STRUCTURAL COMPOSITION OF HYDROCARBON FUELS AND OILS GROUP

1968
Methods of structural group analysis are widely used in assessing the nature of hydrocarbons, present in highboiling gas oil and lubricating oil petroleum fractions, and products derived from these fractions. The G-L method [1], proposed by the author, is applied to the analysis of highly aromatic petroleum products and coal-tar oils used in carbon-black production [2-4]. In the present work nomograms for the G-L method are presented for the rapid calculation of structural group composition of hydrocarbon fuels and oils, to make the method suitable for routine analyses in plant laboratories. The method is based on the additivity of the functions
