Electroconductivity and electron exchange in spinel structures

Abstract The mechanism of conductivity in spinel compounds having ions of one type with different valence in equivalent lattice sites is proposed. This one allows us to explain phase transition from ferromagnetic to ferrimagnetic state in chalcogenide spinels.
