Assessment and analysis of primary productivity and fish productivity in Wanfo Lake

By using plankton counts and black and white bottle oxygen measuring methods,we determined primary productivity and estimated fish products of silver carp and bighead carp in Wanfo Lake.The results showed that the productivity of silver carp and bighead carp in Wanfo Lake could reach to 1 100 - 2 000 t by plankton counting assessment,and the fish production was 2 200 t when assessed by black and white bottle method.The assessment results are much higher than the actual production of this lake,indicating that the reser-voir fish production does not yet reach the upper limit.
