Research on Carbon-based Cold Cathode Field Emission Materials

As the key parts in vacuum microelectronic devices, field emission cold cathode materials play a crucial role in the research and application of vacuum microelectronics. Presently carbon-based materials such as diamond, diamond-like carbon and carbon nanotubes are dominant in the research on the materials. In the paper, the preparation technologies, the emission characteristics and the potentials for application of the above three materials are discussed.
