Relationship of Superoxide Anion and Ger mination of Peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)under Treatment of Cadmium

2012
[Objective] The aim was to illustrate the relationship between superoxide anion contents and the activities of amylase, esterase isozymes during peanut ger mination under the treatment of Cd2+.[Method] Histochemical method and eletrophoresis were applied, respectively.[Result] 10,30 μmol/L Cd2+ significantly promoted the growth of radicles and hypocotyls during peanut germination. The activities of esterase and amylase isozymes significantly increases in coty ledons and the superoxide contents in hypocotyls and cotyledons increased under the treatments of 10,30 μmol/L Cd2+.[Conclusion] The increase of esterase, amylase isozyme activities linked to the increase of superoxide anion induced by Cd2+.
