Advance of Research on Root-knot Nematodes in Watermelon and Melon

This article describes 4 mutant genes,dw-1,dw-2,dw-3 and dw-4(proposed),that confer dwarf characteristic in watermelon.This article particularly describes the discovery,phenotypic characteristics and genetics of the watermelon dwarf genes.This article also reviews the advantage and deficiency of the mutants,as well as the utilization of the dwarf mutant genes in watermelon.
