Pharmacological research progress of perilla with meridian tropism in lung and spleen

To explore the related pharmacological research progress of perilla with meridian tropism in lung and spleen so as to provide reference for theoretical research on meridian tropism.The related literatures of perilla in CNKI,CBM,Wanfang and Vip Database between 1985 and 2008 were summarized and analyzed.The related efficacy of perilla on lung meridian mainly include relieving cough,eliminating phlegm,relieving asthma,anti-bacteria,anti-allergy,improving hemorrheology,anti-hyperlipidemia,anti-aging and so on.Its efficacy on spleen meridian are mainly excited gastrointestinal smooth muscle,contracting mesenteric blood vesseland and so on.There is some correlation between perilla's traditional meridian tropism theory and its modern pharmacological research.Further study should be done to provide a dependable basis for its clinical application.
