Occupational Hazard Factors in Ceramic Factories in Wuming County

Objective To investigate the current status of occupational hazard factors in ceramic factories,and provide references for formulating further preventive measures.Methods Field investigation and detection were both performed to analyze the main occupational hazard factors.Results The exceeded rates of dust,noise,high-temperature in factory A were 75%,76.9% and 100% respectively;for factory B the rates were 91.7%,36.4% and 80%,correspondingly.There were no significant difference between the two factories with respects of the above indicators.The silica dust content ranged from 28.32% to 39.70% in A factory and 34.06% on average;the dust silica content ranged from 23.17% to 37.40% and 32.50% on average.Conclusion There is a serious pollution of silica dust,noise and high temperature in ceramic factory,and comprehensive measures should be timely taken to ensure the health of the workers.
