The association of HLA-A, -B gene polymorphisms with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in Iranian patients

The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a polymorphic and polygenic system that contains the loci for genes encoding class I, II and III human leukocyte antigen (HLA). These genes are closely linked to each other on the short arm of human chromosome 6 (6p23). In the present study, the association of HLA-DRB1 alleles and acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) disease was investigated. Twenty Iranian ALL patients from bone marrow
