1. A method was proposed for determining the fields of residual stresses and strains in a surface-hardened layer near a hole in a disk from the known hoop stress σθ. 2. A method was developed for calculating the creep of a disk with stress raisers in the form of circular holes and relaxation of residual stresses in the surface layer near a hole under the conditions of a plane stress state. 3. The methods developed were realized in the form of an application package for the ES-series computer. 4. An analysis was made of the relaxation of residual stresses for a disk of alloy EI698 at 700°C. 5. The relaxation of residual stresses in the surface-hardened layer near a disk hole calculated by the proposed method can be used as one of the diagnostic indices for evaluating the efficiency of SPD.
