Application of Biotechnological Treatment to Pulping Wastewater

White-rot fungi,which degrade pollutants by special degrading enzymes,can treat pulping wastewater efficiently.The current research and application of biotechnology(white-rot fungi) for the treatment of pulping wastewater were briefly reviewed.The biological characterization,biodegradation mechanism of lignin,organic chloride in the pulping wastewater and that of decolorization by while-rot fungi were integrated and stated as far as their development and application being concerned both domestically and internationally.Again mechanisms mentioned above were discussed and analyzed.
