The application of clinical nursing pathway on improving self-management ability of gout patients

Objective To investigate the effect of the clinical nursing pathway on improving self-management ability of gout patients.Methods Sixty gout patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group,each had 30 patients.The control group was given routine nursing,and observation group was given nursing under clinical nursing pathway.The degree of knowledge mastery and the levels of blood uric acid,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,body mass index were compared between the two groups.Results The mastery degree of gout-related knowledge,the levels of blood uric acid,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,body mass index in observation group were better than those of control group after discharge from hospital one year.Conclusions The clinical nursing pathway can improve self-management ability of gout patients,enhance the effects of treatment and nursing,reduce the incidence and complications of gout.
