Frequency of poststroke depression between hemorrhagic and ischemic at public hospital in Lima
2021
Stroke is a type of disease that affects the blood vessels in the brain. It can be of two main types: Ischemic or hemorrhagic. Stroke is commonly the cause of several sequelae that prevent the patient from having an appropriate quality of life. Therefore, early detection of neuropsychiatric sequelae is crucial. Objective: To determine the frequency of Major Depression in patients with stroke admitted to the Cayetano Heredia Hospital (HCH) with a Clinical History of Ischemic or Hemorrhagic Stroke in 3 months follow-up. Methodology: Prospective cohort with patients attending the HCH with a diagnosis of stroke in 2021, who, after applying the inclusion and exclusion criteria, will be followed up and evaluated using the Hamilton scale for the diagnosis of Post-stroke depression (PSD)
