NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [R 1 is a 1-6C alkyl, a 3-6C cycloalkyl-1-6C alkyl, phenyl(CH 2 ) m [(m) is 0-6], Het(CH 2 ) m (Het is a 5,6- membered carbon cyclic ring) having ≥1 hetero atom, etc.; R 2 is a 1-6C alkyl, phenyl, etc.; R 3 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; (n) is 0-2; botted line is double bond] and its salt. EXAMPLE: 1-[(2-Methoxyphenylmethyl)amino]isoquinoline.hydrochloride. USE: The derivative is capable of suppressing gastric-acid secretion and useful for gastrointestinal injury and as bone absorption suppressor. PREPARATION: The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting a compound of formula II (X is a group substitutable with amine) with a compound of the formula, R 1 NH 2 or reacting a compound of formula III with a compound of the formula R 1 ' 'X 1 [R 1 ' is a 1-6C alkyl, a 3-6C cycloalkyl, etc.; X 1 is an eliminable group].
