Disclosed is an imaging device provided with a microlens array wherein microlenses (402) have been arranged in two dimensions; a light-receiving element array wherein a plurality of light-receiving elements (401) have been provided for the microlenses; an image generation device (105) for generating an image on the basis of output of the plurality of light-receiving elements for the microlenses; and a control device (108) for selecting output of a plurality of light-receiving elements that have been provided for microlenses that are different from the first-mentioned microlenses in order to blur at least a portion of the image generated by the image generation device.
