The Criteria for the Development of the Eco-Friendly Concept in the Energy Sector

2021
Many developed countries and corporations that are considered business giants are active participants in the fourth industrial revolution: State programs, commercial and non-commercial associations and organizations are being created with the goal of eliminating barriers to the creation of Industry 4.0. But in their eagerness to maximize profits by being the first to enter the market with new solutions, both corporations and governments risk underestimating the possible negative social consequences of the new vector of technological progress. In this context, the gradual implementation of eco-friendly technologies in the products of the electrical engineering industry is of particular importance. The research has outlined the necessity to make a “green” transition as a driver of the long-term development of the national economy, particularly in terms of overcoming the effects of COVID-19, a chronic respiratory disease caused by the coronavirus. The calculations have shown that the current model of the electricity market is subject to manipulation, which leads to the bankruptcy of systemic enterprises in the energy market and prevents the further development of the national economy. A package of initiatives and recommendations resolving problematic issues in the energy sector and ensuring the sustainable development of alternative energy has been formed.
