Investigation of Hyperfine Structure and Relaxation in Aromatic Triplet State Complexes by Optical Nuclear Polarization

It is shown that optical nuclear polarization can be used as a spectroscopic method alternatively to EPR. In addition it is possible to evaluate the absolute signs of hyperfine coupling tensor elements which is demonstrated for the guest-host complex in acridine doped fluorene.
