Study on Flyer Velocity Measurement of Exploding Foil Initiator

A double sensitivity VISAR system was used to measure the flyer velocity of exploding foil initiator.Based on the measurement technology of veloctiy of big metal flyer, the small flyer velocity of kapton flyer plated with aluminum was also measured. By three coordinates adjusting device, the input and output laser could be focused on the flyer, and the intensity of output laser was enhanced. The flyer veloctiy was obtained by using the synchronization of light and electricity and software.The measurement results of VISAR was coincided well with the results of the electromagnetism measurement and Gumey energy formula.
