ГИДРОЛОГИЧЕСКАЯ ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКА БИОЛОГИЧЕСКИ ДЕЯТЕЛЬНОГО ПОВЕРХНОСТНОГО СЛОЯ ЭКВАТОРИАЛЬНЫХ ВОД ИНДИЙСКОГО ОКЕАНА

The paper deals with the vertical characteristic of water and water masses structures (up to 500 m) at three multihour stations located in the equatorial bent. Temperature variation in all the surface layer profiles does not exceed 1.5°, below the jump layer it is within the limits of measurement accuracy (0.05-0.01°). Salinity varied within the 34.40-35.60‰ range. The layer of minimum salinity variationse coincides with maximum vertical temperature gradients.
