BioCoComb-Vergasung von Biomasse und Mitverbrennung von Gas in einem Kohlenstaubkessel

In a p.f.-fired demonstation power plant, a biomass gasification plant for bark, wood chips and sawdust was installed. The project name BioCoCom is an abbreviation of Preparation of Biofuel for Co-Combustion. In accordance with with the thermal capacity of 10 MW, gas replaces about 3% of coal fired in the boiler. Only the coarse biomass fraction is comminuted in a shredder and is then, together with the fine-grained fraction, fed to the gasification plant without further treatment. The gasification plant is based on the fluidized bed technology that ensures relatively low temperatures in all parts of the gasifier and thus prevents slagging. The intensive movement of the bed material has a positive effect on the abrasion of biomass particles.
